Meet Cairy and Liz

At Miss Cayce’s, we count our four decades of history not in years, but in seasons. After all, there’s more joy—and more reason to decorate—when you celebrate everything! In 1984, Miss Cayce’s opened its doors in Midland, Texas. The original owners were sisters who named the store after their holiday decor-loving grandmother, Martha Cayce Bauman. Over the years, Miss Cayce’s became a destination. Folks started coming from all over Texas to shop our iconic home and holiday decor. In 2001, Liz Carter and Cairy Phillips became friends while pledging Kappa Kappa Gamma at Texas Tech University. Little did they know that was just the beginning…23 years later, they formed Kappa Christmas, LLC, and the original owners of Miss Cayce’s passed the wreath onto Liz and Cairy, who continue to honor the store’s legacy today.
