Untraditional Christmas

Some homes have decor that call for an untraditional Christmas. Red and Green Christmas is a classic, but it is not the end all be all. There are endless options/themes for Christmas decor to decorate for the season.

This home owners living room was complimented with soft pastels and metals. Taking a cue from the beautiful teal rug, our designer choose to create this beautiful color story.

The rich brown leather chairs inspired a sparkle chocolate colored Christmas ball to add depth and warmth. Mixed Metals of gold, platinum, pewter and the sparkle of silver set the Holiday tone.

All shades of teal blue from pale to dark in florals and balls compliment the rooms decor. The Christmas garland on the mantel coordinates with the tree. The light neutral walls contrast with the beautiful dark wood molding and leather furniture. 

A beautiful coffee table Christmas centerpiece is filled with gold leave, magnolia leaves, decorative balls and ribbon like the tree. Choose a container that coordinates and is appropriate size for the table and room. The Mark Robert's Santa and the gold mirrored tray filled with balls and kuegals create a festive vignette.

The 3 key ingredients for our Christmas trees are Ribbon, balls and florals. In our step by step Christmas decorating, shatterproof balls are used as a base hung into the tree to add depth and background.

Christmas balls to match the Christmas tree balls are wired onto the garland. A mixture of textures and finishes add interest. Pale blue hydrangeas and a frosted pale blue berry garland are intertwined with the faux Christmas garland. Add glass balls after garland is in place.

Loops and tails of platinum metallic ribbon, pale teal ribbon with silver sparkle and teal dupioni silk ribbon are run through the garland. When you leave the ribbon in longer pieces, you have more opportunities to reuse it the next year. The long tails of the ribbon compliment the large garland.
